I love being around people, getting and sharing ideas, chatting and making connections. However the most important time of my day is the time when I’m not with anyone, either walking my dog, running, driving or reading.
In the midst of all the chaos it is necessary for me to get away from it all to think about what is important and try to see the bigger picture.
On my drive back from my visit at an elementary school in Northern Iceland I came up with a list of 10 things that are important to me to relax and focus in the age of distraction.
It didn’t hurt that it was one of those cool Icelandic afternoons in October where the ground is frozen, the sun is out, there is no wind and it’s a day of absolute silence (…and Ásgeir Trausti was playing on my radio).
I decided to make a list of 10 (zen) things that are important to me. (you can download it here)
I’m going to put it up by my desk at work, on my fridge to remind me of the important things.
Hope you find use of it to.
